01 / Scope & purpose
Registration data helps identify the registrar responsible for a domain and provides information about its status. Public availability of individual fields depends on the namespace, the service used, applicable requirements, and privacy protections.
The portfolio includes .case, .radio, .ru.com, .sa.com, and .za.com. The .com-based namespaces are not independent top-level domains; their lookup and disclosure arrangements may differ.
02 / Public registration lookups
Use the external ICANN lookup service for supported domain names. A result may include registrar information, registration dates, status codes, and nameservers. Redacted fields are not evidence that a record is incomplete or invalid.
For a name beneath .ru.com, .sa.com, or .za.com, contact the registration provider if the lookup service does not return the specific record. A result for the parent namespace is not a result for an individual registration.
WHOIS lookup03 / Preparing a nonpublic data request
Start with the sponsoring registrar or the published disclosure channel. Prepare the following information so the receiving party can assess your request:
- Your identity, organization, and a working contact address.
- The exact domain names and specific data fields requested.
- The purpose, applicable legal basis, and relevant supporting documents.
- An explanation of necessity, proportionality, and how the data will be protected.
Submitting a request does not guarantee disclosure. No processing deadline, query limit, or entitlement to bulk access is established by this overview.
04 / Responsible use
Respect the terms and rate limits of the service you query. Do not circumvent access restrictions or use registration data for harassment, unsolicited marketing, or unauthorized profiling.
